Citizens for a Strong Oshkosh (CSO) was started in February, 2009 to look at the link between state revenue decisions and local pubic structures such as law enforcement, schools, human services and economic development and work on reforms at the state level that could make Oshkosh stronger. CSO has hosted several community meetings:

April 23, 2009 — for community leaders to discuss revenue challenges affecting Oshkosh for the 2009-2011 state budget

June 15, 2009 — for the entire community to review and recommend revenue alternatives for the 2009-2011 state budget
- May 20, 2010 —Citizens for a Strong Oshkosh (CSO) held a successful community forum to explain the benefits of $214 million Stimulus dollars in Oshkosh and Winnebago County. Local leaders also alerted people to the serious revenue challenges that schools, local and state government will face without further Stimulus funds. Read more...
